TIME-LINE

In thinking back over your life, consider the following questions.

print this page

Significant events from childhood up to the time of the abortion

  Family Relationships-what were they like?
Make a list of special friends you hung out with.
List the activities you were involved in.
What were some problems in your childhood that stand out in your mind?
  Other experiences growing up
Moral/religious upbringing: how was right and wrong determined? (values/feelings, etc)
Age of first sexual experience--What was this relationship like?
What were the following relationships like that followed “the first?”
At what age did you become pregnant?
What events led up to the (first) abortion?
What events led up to any subsequent abortions?

Consider the Abortion(s)

Who was involved in each abortion decision?
  What lead to the decision?
How did you feel as the decision was being made?
What was the worst problem you were facing?
Why did you make abortion the final choice for you?
When did you begin to feel that the abortion was troubling you in any way?

From the Abortion to the Present:

How did you cope in the beginning following the abortion?
What has been happening in your life since your abortion? (emotionally, physically, spiritually, relationally, socially, with your family?)
